This soft pastel drawing explores theatrical light and color inspired by contemporary interpretations of Wagner’s operas. Acidic purples, creamy pinks and electric blues capture the coexistence of harmony and tension, fancy and fraud within a single moment - themes I also explored in my dissertation on Wagner and Nietzsche.
